Lash and Brow FAQ

Henna Brows

Henna is a natural dye created from the Lawsonia inermis plant. It stains the skin up to 7 days and can last up to 4 weeks on the brow hair. It lasts particularly well on lighter hair or grey hairs. The darker you choose to go, the longer the henna stain will last on both the skin and hair. We carefully create a custom mix designed to suit your skin tone and colour preferences. The henna takes 20-30 minutes to process. Before the henna is applied, your eyebrows will be artistically shaped and pre-drawn.

How to care for your Henna Brows:

  • Keep them dry for at least 12 hours! This includes shower stream, washing your face, and sweating from working out.

  • Exfoliating your face will cause the henna stain to fade quicker. To maintain the stain, avoid exfoliating the brow area.

  • Avoid using makeup on your brows when they have been freshly done. Using our signature Brow Glaze (similar to brow soap) or a clear brow gel is fine, however, filling them in with a product in the first 48 hours of having them done can cause the henna to fade quicker.

Brow Lamination

So what is Brow Lamination, and how does it work?

Brow Lamination is a process where the brow hairs are chemically relaxed & straightened using a keratin treatment. The hair is softened and relaxed so that their shape can be manipulated and styled into a fuller and fluffier shape. It is the perfect solution for those with rigid, unruly or wild eyebrows that just don’t stay put. It is also great for those who like the naturally fluffy eyebrow look.

How to care for your freshly Laminated Brows:

  • Keep them dry for 24 hours. This is extremely important, because if you get them wet during this time frame the process will be reversed. This includes avoiding water from shower stream, washing your face, and sweating from working out.

  • The ‘glaze’ look after getting them done will only last 12 hours, as an aftercare keratin treatment has been applied to maintain the brow hair integrity. After washing your brows 24 hours later, they will appear much more natural.

  • If you have had your brows tinted as well, it is strongly recommended that you avoid exfoliating or scrubbing your brow area to maintain the tint.

Lash Lifts

What is a lash lift?

A chemical treatment that lifts the lashes into a more curled shape, which can last up to 6-8 weeks. Great for those with straight & stubborn lashes, as it can open the eyes & make your lashes look much longer than they normally are!

Pre-appointment: please come with no mascara or eye makeup on if you are booked in for a lash lift. An additional $10 will be charged if eye makeup is required to be removed by the stylist, as this takes time out of your appointment and requires a “lash bath” to fully cleanse the eye area.

Caring for you lashes post Lash Lift is incredibly important. Here’s our recommended aftercare:

  • Keep the lashes dry for 24 hours. Avoid ANY contact with water during this time. This includes shower stream, washing your face, and sweating from working out.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face or side for the first night after your Lash Lift treatment.

  • Brush your lashes every day after getting them wet to maintain their shape.

  • Use a nourishing lash treatment to maintain lash health in between your Lash Lift treatments. Fist time Lash Lift clients will receive an organic Lash +Brow Oil to use each night.

  • It is recommended that you maintain your Lash Lift every 6-8 weeks. Any sooner than 6 weeks and you will damage your lashes. The lash tint will only last roughly 3 weeks, so it is recommended that you book in for a lash tint at 3-4 weeks if you want to maintain the tint.
